Branko’s insurance career started in 1987 and he is now a prolific speaker and commentator and writes for leading publications and judges industry awards. He has an infectious presentation style and has been told on many occasions that he is the only person in the world who makes compliance sound interesting.
Since the first lockdown he has delivered 180+ virtual events to 11,000 people and appeared in the insurance press on over 120 occasions. He is a leading figure in criticising insurers on their post lockdown reluctance to pay BI claims and the industry’s collective failings over multi-occupancy insurances.
Branko was Thomson Reuters Compliance Personality of the Year 2012, in 2017 received the London Market Outstanding Contribution to Legal and Compliance and in 2021 was Highly Commended by the CII in their Public Trust Awards and is still the youngest holder of the CII’s Bridgewater Award for Exceptional Service.
He is a Fellow of the Chartered Insurance Institute and holds Chartered status and is also a Member of the Institute of Directors (MIoD). He was Vice-President of the CII from 2008 to 2014 and became a Liveryman of the Worshipful Company of Insurers and a Freeman of the City of London in 2002.
