Since 1872 we’ve been helping people get healthcare through our health plans, charity partnerships and by being a voice in healthcare. Today we’re delighted to be the UK’s leading provider of health plans, dental plans and pet health plans, which help individuals, families, employees and pets to get support with their health when they need it.
We don’t have shareholders which means we are totally focused on making sure no one goes without the healthcare support they need, and why we are passionate about being a voice in healthcare and partnering with charities to reduce health inequality. We have a commitment to donate part of our pre-tax profits to charities or community projects each year and spread our donations across a wide range of healthcare-related charities.
In 2019 we became Official Healthcare Partner of England Rugby, a partnership that will help us deliver on our purpose and improve access to healthcare for the rugby community.
Mental Health UK provides mental health advice, information, and support across England, Scotland, Wales, and Northern Ireland. We bring together expertise from four mental health charities with over 40 years of experience improving understanding and providing vital care. Together, we offer support to the 1 in 4 people in the UK who are affected by mental health problems, as well as their carers, families, and colleagues.
Over half a million people accessed our information resources last year. Our advice services include Mental Health and Money Advice, which has helped 2,000 people in the most difficult circumstances to gain additional income or savings with a total value of over £5million since 2018. 600,000 people have benefited from its online resources and money-saving tools.
In 2020 we are rolling out Bloom, a new programme supporting 14-18 year olds to build their resilience. Over the next 2 years, Bloom will equip 500,000 young people with tools and knowledge to maintain their mental health through life’s transitions.
Alongside our services, we work to improve workplace wellbeing and help companies to support vulnerable customers through our mental health training and consultancy.
Carbon offset partner - Ecosphere+womeninaccountancyandfinanceawards.com/wafa2020/en/page/sustainabilityIncisive Media are committed to the journey in becoming more sustainable. By using the guidelines set out by the Sustainable Event Alliance, we aim to meet the International Standard ISO 20121. The goal is to reduce paper consumption across events and improve recycling rates, curb food waste and alter menus with an aim to include locally sourced, organic produce. We have also committed to deliver carbon offsetting at events wherever possible and provide delegates with accessible venues.
We will be closely evaluating each event and considering how we can improve in the following areas; energy, transport, water usage, recycling, economic and local environment/community.
Carbon OffsettingIncisive Media have partnered with Ecosphere+ to ensure all our remaining greenhouse gas emissions are offset. Working with Ecosphere+, we calculate the emissions from all our events, including those from event operations, venues and delegates. We then purchase the equivalent number of carbon offset credits to counter-act our activities. These credits are supporting the protection of vital rainforest in Peru, by funding conservation work and creating sustainable sources of income for locals to minimise incentives for deforestation.
