The UK Sepsis Trust (UKST) is a charity founded in 2012 by NHS consultant Dr Ron Daniels, after witnessing the tragic and preventable death of 37-year-old father of two, Jem Abbots.  UKST aims to end preventable deaths and improve outcomes for sepsis survivors. We work to raise awareness of this devastating condition among the public and healthcare professionals; encourage early diagnosis and treatment of sepsis; lobby politicians to improve standards of care; and provide better support for sepsis survivors and their loved ones, while also supporting those bereaved by this ‘silent killer’.
