With nearly 20 years in underwriting Helen has a range of experience across insurance and reinsurance, including operations, underwriting automation, and product development. Helen has had roles in insurance leadership since 2017, developing high performing teams to deliver underwriting strategy, working her way up to Chief Underwriter at AIG Life before joining SCOR as Head of Underwriting.

As a committee member of the Assurance Medical Underwriting Society and LUCID, Helen actively supports education and development for underwriting & claims professionals.

Helen is passionate about helping more people benefit from protection insurance and the place that underwriting, excellent risk control, customer journeys, technology and data play in this. Helen was recognized for contributions to increasing access to insurance in the UK by receiving the Cover Woman in Underwriting Award in 2019, 2022 and 2025.

As a working mum of an awesome 9 year old girl Helen is also focused on gender parity, including role modelling flexible working practices in leadership, and undertakes volunteer work to mentor girls in the UK.
