Edward Grant is a Chartered Financial Planner, Fellow of the Personal Finance Society, and one of our leading advocates for accessibility, vulnerability and inclusive service design within financial services. With more than three decades of experience spanning financial planning, technical consultancy, governance and professional standards, he brings a rare combination of deep technical expertise and a strong commitment to improving outcomes for consumers.

Edward serves as the UK Cabinet Office Disability & Access Ambassador for the Insurance Sector, a national appointment that positions him at the intersection of government, industry and civil society. In this role, he works with insurers, regulators, charities and accessibility specialists to accelerate progress on inclusive design, digital accessibility and the experience of disabled customers and employees. His work is grounded in evidence, lived experience and a belief that accessibility is both a societal imperative and a driver of better business performance.

Alongside his ambassadorial role, Edward is the longest serving Non Executive Director of the Personal Finance Society and a Director of the European Financial Planning Association, where he contributes strategic insight, independent challenge and a strong focus on member and consumer outcomes. He has played a key role in shaping thinking on professional standards, Consumer Duty, and the future of the financial planning profession. Edward is the Founder and Chair of the Finance in Society Research Institute (FISRI) Advisory Board, an initiative connecting academic research with real-world industry transformation. Through FISRI, he champions the social value of financial planning, fostering evidence based approaches that improve outcomes for consumers, advisers, and organisations.
