James Daley is the Founder and Managing Director of Fairer Finance, the consumer research and ratings agency he launched in 2014 to help people make better-informed choices about financial products from banks and insurers.

He has been a consumer campaigner for over 25 years. He spent 10 years as a business and finance newspaper journalist, latterly as The Independent's personal finance editor, before moving to Which?, where he campaigned for a fairer deal for banking and insurance customers in the wake of the financial crisis.

James is a member of both UK Finance's and the ABI's Consumer Advisory Groups.
